In my next life, I'd like to be a dancer.

I don't dance. I mean, I can dance, but I don't dance dance. I've always been moved and inspired by the ability dancers have to throw their bodies around in the most graceful yet powerful ways, almost as if they are being lifted upward.

This routine from the show So You Think You Can Dance from 2007 has always stuck with me for the particularly moving (nice pun, Drew) leap at 1:28. She kind of just tosses herself at him and he catches and pushes her back with such ease. I can't imagine how terrifying, but freeing it must have felt to successfully execute that bit of choreography.

Of course, I've attempted this move with many dancer friends, but obviously it never turns out well for either party. Still, I'll always wish I could throw myself across a stage as weightlessly and gracefully as she does.
